Getting your monthly income using a report is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed. However, you can modify the yearly Profit & Loss report, select the Income section, and export the Income transactions. After that, you can modify it using the Excel spreadsheet.
I've added some screenshots including a sample work I've done to see the monthly Income in the spreadsheet:
