Hello, @rubinrj-jmu-edu.

 

You can set up the tax form type of your QuickBooks account into Nonprofit Organization. Once completed, you can change the name of your sales forms. I'd be delighted to guide you on how to do it.

 

Here's how to setup up your account's tax form type:

  1. Go to the Gear Icon.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. From the Company menu, locate the Company Type section.
  4. Click the Pencil Icon.
  5. Select Nonprofit Organization from the Tax Form drop-down.
  6. Set the Industry type.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Hit Done.

Once completed, you can change the names of the sales forms available in the system from invoice to donations. Here's how:

  1. Choose the Gear Icon.
  2. Select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Choose the sales form template that you want to use.
  4. From the Actions column, click Edit.
  5. Pick the Content tab.
  6. Click the Pencil icon of the first part of the sample sales form.
  7. Go to the Form section to change the name of the sales form.
  8. Click Done.

Lastly, you can add your members to the Customers' page. When running your members' list, you can rename it from Customer Contact List into Member Contact List.1053.JPG

As additional option, explore this membership management app to help you. Unfortunately it only supports QBD and you should migrate data manually to QBO if required.

Hi arshad2,

 

You can purchase the QuickBooks Desktop Premier. It has the option to change the Industry type to Non-profit, so you can have reports and functions available for this type of business. Please check out this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/desktop/premier/. You can call the number of the sales team in the upper right-hand corner.

 

You can buy QuickBooks Premier without Plus or QuickBooks Premier Plus if you need free support for the whole year.
