How do I add a new GL detail acct under the Expense category? The system only lets me choose one of the preset options. I want to add GL acct "Training" under Expenses.

How do I add a new GL detail acct under the Expense category? The system only lets me choose one of the preset options. I want to add GL acct "Training" under Expenses.

I've got some information about adding a new GL detail account under the expense category in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

For now, the option to add a new Detail Type account is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. However, you can create a sub-account and match it to the closest parent account. To achieve this, please feel free to check out this article: How to create a sub-account in QBO?.
