How do i add a savings account

I can walk you through the steps in adding a savings account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @kdavis1

 

First off, let's set up a new account in the Chart of Accounts for the savings account. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Accounting tab, then select Chart of Accounts
  2. Click the New button, then select Bank as the Account Type
  3. Choose Savings as the Detail Type
  4. Enter a Name
  5.  Hit Save and Close whenever you're ready.

 

Once done, we can now link it to your bank. Simply follow these steps below:

  1. Click the Add account in the Banking tab.
  2. Search your bank, then click Continue.
  3. Enter your online banking credentials. Select the Savings account you want to add, then click Connect.
