Hey there, qb11.
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Community. I'd be glad to show you how to create an "Investor" category.
This can be done in just a few steps. Here's how:
1. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
2. Select Products and Services.
3. Choose Manage Categories from the More drop-down menu.
4. Click Category.
5. Enter Investor as the name.
6. Choose Save.
I've got an article for you that provides additional information on setting up categories in QuickBooks Online. You can check it out here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/Set-up-categories-in-Products-and-Services/m-p....
Keep up the great work and please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
If when you use investor, you mean someone who puts money in your business
Only a corporation can have investors, they buy shares of stock
in a sole proprietorship or partnership, you would borrow that money from him (liability account) and the loan document would spell out the terms of repayment
