Greetings, Guest 984.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I can help with deleting the journal entry created by QuickBooks.

To remove the transaction, make sure to first activate the deleted Depreciation Expense account. That way, you can smoothly delete the transaction.

To activate the account:

  1. Go to Accounting on the left panel, and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. In the  Action column, go to the Gear icon and then choose Include inactive.
  3. Look for the Depreciation Expense account.
  4. Then select Make active.

Once done, let’s begin the process of deleting the journal. You’ll find the detailed instructions in this article: How to reverse or delete a journal entry.

Since you'll be modifying an entry in your account, I'd recommend reaching out with your accountant to ensure that your books are in order.

I'm also attaching a link that will visually guide you on how to create and manage accounts in QBO.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to help. If you have concerns about working in QBO, please know that I'm just a comment away. Have a great rest of your day.
