How do i edit my fixed asset account that i just created?

Let me provide you the steps in editing the asset account that you just created, jcastaneda.

The chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online represents and organizes company assets, liabilities, income, and expenses. However, as your business requirements change, you may need to make modifications to your chart of accounts, such as adding, editing, or deleting accounts.

To edit your asset account (Business View):

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the asset account you want to edit.
  3. On the right side of the account that you want to edit, click the dropdown arrow and choose Edit
  4. Make the necessary changes, then hit Save and Close

To edit your asset account (Accountant view):

  1. Go to Accounting, then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the asset account that you want to edit. You can also type it in the Filter by name or number search box.
  3. Click the dropdown arrow beside View register, then choose Edit.
  4. Make your changes, then select Save

The list of accounts you use to categorize finances grows as your business continues to grow. To keep your account organized, you can use account numbers in your chart of accounts in QBO.
