How do I find an invoice or purchase order that is older than 365 days?

Good question, scott78.

You can either use the Audit Log feature or run the Transaction List by Customer/ Transaction List by Vendor to find old invoices and purchase orders in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Here's how to use the Audit Log:

  1. Go to Gear icon.
  2. Select Audit Log.
  3. Click Filter.
  4. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  5. Select Apply.

You can have this article for more information about using the audit log feature in QBO: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.

If  you choose to run the report reports, you can follow the steps I've outlined below:

Transaction List by Customer (Invoices):

  1. Go to Reports and choose Transaction List by Customer.
  2. Set up the Report period and other filters.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Under Filter, check the box for Transaction Type and select Invoice.
  5. Click Run report.

Transaction List by Vendors (Purchase Orders):

  1. Go to Reports and choose Transaction List by Vendor.
  2. Set up the Report period (date older than 365 days) and other filters.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Under Filter, check the box for Transaction Type and select Purchase Order.
  5. Click Run report.

I'll be right here if you need with anything about QuickBooks. Wish you all the best.

How can I see more than the last 365 days on my dashboard?  I have invoices with balances still older than 365 days.

We can access the transactions that are older than 365 days by filtering the data, robs roofing.

By default, QuickBooks displays the data from the last 365 days. The transactions showing beyond this time-frame have to be manually filtered. I'll show you how:

  1. From the Sales tab, select All Sales.
  2. Click the Filter drop-down.
  3. Select a Status and Delivery method.
  4. In the Date column, select Custom.
  5. Filter the From and To fields.
  6. Select a Customer.
  7. Click Apply.

If you want to let your customers pay their balances online, you can add a Pay Now button. You can check this article for more information: Pay invoices online.
