Hi there, sarahb7798.

Before we proceed, I'd like to know if you're looking for the right categories for your transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you do, we can categorize them and make sure they are on the correct line of your Schedule C.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Find a transaction on the list.
  3. Tap Business if the transaction was for business or tap Personal for personal. If the transaction was both, pick Split.
  4. In the Category column, click the category link. From there, you can select a general type and choose a more detailed category.

I'm adding this article to help you learn more: Schedule C and expense categories in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You can also use this link to create and apply rules to quickly categorize recent and past transactions.

I'll be here if you still have further questions or other concerns in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Take care and have a great day.
