How do I get a recurring invoice to update the service date to match the due date?

It’s nice to see you in the Online Community, mconrad303.

The functionality to automatically update the service date to match with the due date is unavailable at this time. You’ll have to manually type in the information on the invoice to accomplish this action.

Our goal is to make QuickBooks Online the go-to software for small business owners, so we're always looking for ways to improve it. I’ll send feedback about the automatic update for service the date on your behalf.

Suggestions like this help us identify the feature our customers want the most and may be considered for future enhancements.

I invite you to check out the QuickBooks Blog to keep you in the loop with the latest product improvements. The site also contains articles with tips on how to seamlessly manage your business.

For future reference, check out the Create recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online guide. It contains some articles on how to troubleshoot common issues about recurring entries as well as steps to edit an existing template.

Reach out to me anytime if you have any other questions about QuickBooks. I’ll pop right back to answer them for you. Enjoy the rest of the week.
