How do I get all the lines to print on an invoice? I have some items that require multiple lines (up to 10) of description and currently it will only print 3 lines.

I've never heard of that before.  As far as I know QB should always print all of the memo you enter, up to about 4000 characters.  That being the primary reason to enter 4000 characters...

Hi jweber1,

QuickBooks allows you to print up to ten lines of description. In this case, you'll have to adjust the column width of the invoice template.

  1. Open the invoice.
  2. Go to the Formatting tab and click on Customize Data Layout.
  3. Click on Layout Designer.
  4. Click in the table where the column appears and move the mouse pointer to either edge of the column.

  5. Drag the edge to make the column the width you want.
  6. When done, click on OK to close the Layout Designer window.
  7. Click on OK to close the Additional Customization window.
  8. Print and preview the invoice.

I've attached a screenshot of my sample printed invoice.

If the problem persists, then I recommend creating a new invoice template and apply it on the invoice. You can check this article for the detailed steps in creating a from template in QuickBooks.
