The Forward receipt feature helps us to automatically enter the transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed instead of manual. Let me share some info about the scanned cash receipts.
Once you imported the receipts, the system will try to match them to the entries in QuickBooks Self-Employed. This is to avoid duplicates and ensure the accuracy of your data. If it can't find a match, it'll create a separate transaction. Then, all you have to do is categorize them.
Currently, we're unable to change the transactions created by the system to Cash. It's best to create an entry under Cash so the system can match them. Please check this link: Forward receipt images to QuickBooks Self-Employed. This will explain more how this feature works.
