Join nowI normally can drag a costumer's name up or down the list, but QB is now telling me I cannot move a name when the report is on flat "MODE" what does this mean?

The option to do so is currently not available. Rest assured I’ll let our engineering team know about this feature request on your behalf so they’ll consider adding this in the future.
In the meantime, I suggest checking our Product Updates page to stay current on the latest news and enhancements in QuickBooks.

The Hierarchical View mode is available in the Chart of Accounts (COA). And I'd be happy to guide you through the steps on how to switch the option in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
