how do I run a gross sale report on one customer at a time

You can run a Sales by Customer Detail Report and select a specific customer, @woodac.

Here's how:

  1. On the left menu, select Reports.
  2. Type Sales by Customer Detail in the search bar.
  3. Click Customize.

  4. Filter the date range.
  5. Under Rows/Columns, group the data by Customer.
  6. Apply the customer filter and select the specific customer you want to run the report.
  7. Review all filters.
  8. Once everything is set, click Run Report.

You can also pull up Sales by Product/Service Detail report.

  1. Go back to the Reports section.
  2. Search for the Sales by Product/Service Detail report.
  3. Click on the Customize button.
  4. Filter the report by date.
  5. Under the Rows/Columns section, group by Product/Service.
  6. Filter by Customer and choose the customer for whom you want to run the report.
  7. Review all the selected filters.
  8. When you are ready, click on Run Report.

For future reference, if you wish to have a copy of your reports outside QuickBooks in an Excel, PDF, or Google Sheets format, you can follow these steps:

  1. On the report page, select the export icon dropdown at the top.
  2. Choose from the drop-down lists where you want to export the document.
