Re: How do I tie an uncategorized expense to an outstanding bill?

I’m happy to see you in the Online Community, kathryn-coughlin.

Linking the uncategorized expense to an outstanding bill can be done in a few easy steps. Let’s go to the Banking page to accomplish this task.

  1. Tap the Banking menu on the left panel and then select the Banking tab to find the transaction.
  2. In the Bank and Credit Cards window, click the drop-down to open the account.
  3. Under the For Review column, choose the Uncategorized Expense to expand it.
  4. Mark the radio button for Find match to look for the bill.
  5. On the Match transactions page, choose the correct entry by checking the box.
  6. Click on Save.

For more information about the processes check out the Match and categorize your downloaded bank transactions article. This will provide overviews for things like how to match an existing transaction, adding a new one and ways to review multiple matches.
