Join nowHello, @championfs.
The ads in QuickBooks are designed to guide and suggest you how to optimize your QuickBooks Online experience. Since they're affecting your navigation experience, I recommend clicking on the X or No, thanks button. This will prevent the pop-ups from showing up again.
You can also reach out to our Support Specialists. Unlike in this public forum, they have the tools required to perform any escalations in the system whenever necessary on your behalf.
Here's how you can reach them:
I recommend visiting the QuickBooks Blog website to stay up to date on any updates or improvements on the online version: QuickBooks Blog.
Feel free to reach out to me for any questions you may have with the advertisements popping up when using QuickBooks. I'll be here to help.
There is no "no, thanks" button. Only an X or proceed with setting up online payments. I have been clicking the X for 3 days now and the pop up shows up every time. After clicking the X the invoice I just created changes & jumps forward 1 invoice number, dates change & pieces of info disappear. I have to remember to click NO don't save the invoice. Once that is done I can see the invoice I just created & sent to the customer - after much panic. FIX THIS!!!
I hear you and realize the importance of turning off the ad that shows up when creating invoices, @championfs.
Let me share additional details about the in-product prompts you’ve seen on your end.
As mentioned by my colleague above, the ad is a working element of the program. You’ve received the prompt since the system detects that you’ve not enabled the built-in Payment features of QuickBooks. This way, you'll have the chance to see how this feature works.
On the other hand, know that our developers are always considering new options to be added to the system to cope with your business needs. This way, you'll be able to run the program smoothly.
To be updated with our latest news and product updates, I encourage you to visit our QuickBooks Online Blog site regularly.
I got your back if there's anything else that you need. I'll be around to help you out. Have a lovely day!
This annoying sales pop-up (to get us to 'upgrade' to a SaaS model (i.e., pay forever!) is a giant ding on QB.
Please consider your customers and get rid of it!
Quick Books' Sales pop-ups are super annoying and make me want to switch.
Every. Single. Time. we send an invoice.
I know YOU want us to convert to your SaaS (pay forever) model, but we do not. We're a small business, insufficient resources and you ADD ANOTHER STEP. While we simply try to do our business.
Please consider your customers - and stop these marketing / sales popups!
Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this pop-up concern in QuickBooks Online, Paul.
We appreciate your insights and feedback with the QuickBooks features, and I want you to know that this matters to us.
Right now, the in-product ads or pop-ups are set by default in the program to introduce new updates or services. Having the option to turn this off would be great.
Here at Intuit, we wanted to understand better our customer's business needs within the software. This is why we welcome product suggestions to help improve our products and services. Changes in the program are released based on several factors, so we're unable to provide the turnaround time on when new features are released in QuickBooks. This info is controlled and handled mainly by the Developers Team.
You can share your suggestion within the program by following these steps in a web browser:
