How do I undo a receive payment when I clicked the button too soon?

Let me be the first to welcome you to the Community. I can guide you on deleting the payment in QuickBooks Online.

 

At this time, you can only delete a payment, not undo it. You have to go to the Transaction List tab under the customer’s profile. Here how:

  1. Go to Sales from the left menu and select Customers.
  2. Choose the customer from the list.
  3. From the Transaction List tab, locate the payment and open it.
  4. Click More, then Delete.
  5. Hit Yes.

 

 

 

 

Please bear in mind that deleting it is irreversible. For more information, check out this article: How to void or delete an invoice or other transactions.


If you want to check the history of the payment transaction, pull up the Audit Log. This tool provides a list of all activity performed on the company file. To access it, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Audit Log.
  2. Click the Filter button to customize it.
  3. Choose the appropriate User, Date, or Events filter to narrow results.
  4. Hit Apply.

Hello, 

 

  As a workaround, I suggest to use third party app as https://appcenter.intuit.com/b-importer

 

  Besides import/export, it has very useful Delete feature, which helps you to delete any entity from your QBO Company.

 

  I hope it solves your issue.
