How do I use owner equity account?

I have previously set up owner equity account and sub accounts of owner draw, and owner contributions. I have used these accounts in the past to pay bills, as owner contributions. Now it is flagging all of my old bills from last year that i can't use owner contribution to pay these, and QB is trying to make me change everything that was already put in from last year. All the problem occured after the newest update. Now what do i do to fix this?

Discrepancies on reports and odd behaviors such as the one you're experiencing right now can be a data issue within your company file. You can run the verify and rebuild tool to detect if there are any errors with your data.

 

First, verify the data:

  1. Choose Window then Close All.
  2. Choose File then Utilities. Select Verify Data.

If QuickBooks finds an issue with your company file, you'll need to select Rebuild Now. Just repeat the steps provided above.
