How do you apply a credit memo (that was created in a "Parent Company" to a Sub-client?

My customers have many "Sub-Client" accounts. Sometimes they receive a credit. I create the Credit memo in the Sub-Client account but then cannot apply that credit memo to a different Sub-Client. So I created the credit memo is the Parent-Company, but still cannot apply it to a sub-company. Please Help!

If you mean to record a credit memo and apply it to different sub-customers, we can create a credit memo for a sub-customer. Then, it'll be automatically recorded to the parent one. However, this will not apply to the other sub-customers.

If it's needed, you may want to manually enter the transaction to each sub-client. Here's how:


  1. Go to the Sales menu and select the Customers tab.
  2. Locate and click the name of the sub-clients. 
  3. Click the New transaction drop-down arrow. Then, select Credit memo.
  4. Enter the necessary information and amount.
  5. Click Save and Close.
