How do you Export a Current invoice Template from one Online company to another Online company?

Hi there, juls.

In QuickBooks Online, the option to export the current invoice template is unavailable. You'll need to manually recreate this template for your new QuickBooks Company. However, you also have the option to download it as a PDF, then manually recreate this from PDF to a Word doc so you're able to import the template to the new company.

Here's how to download:

  1. Log in to your old QuickBooks account. Then, click the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Choose Custom form styles.
  3. Select the Invoice template you want to use.
  4. Click the drop-down arrow under the Action column.
  5. Choose Preview PDF.
  6. Click the Download icon.

Once done, you can now recreate the template to a Word doc to start importing them into another QuickBooks account. Please follow the steps below to import.

  1. Log in to your new QBO account.
  2. Click the Gear icon and choose QuickBooks labs.
  3. Turn on the Import style.
  4. Hit Done.
  5. Go to the Gear icon again and choose Custom form style.
  6. Click the New style button drop-down arrow. Then, choose Import style.
  7. Select a form type and choose Upload your .DOCX file field. Then, find and select your .docx template.
  8. Hit Next and finish the process.

Please refer to this article to see steps on how you can email or print multiple invoices, sales receipts, estimates, and other sales forms for now or later: Email or print multiple invoices and sales forms.
