Re: How do you reorder columns for an invoice template?

It's great to see you here, kathpope.

I'd be glad to help you with how to reorder the column for an Invoice template. Please follow these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Select the existing template or click New style.
  4. Select Invoice.
  5. Go to the Content tab.
  6. Click the pencil (edit) icon in the middle section.
  7. Drag the adjust icon to your desired order.
  8. Click Done.change column.JPG

Aside from this, you can also design and customize the Sales form. For more information about this, you can check this article: Customize your invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

I'm just a post away if you have other concerns. I'm here to help you out. Thank you and enjoy the rest of the day!

I was able to locate the adjust icon.

Why is only balance due showing on the invoice and not total amount due with payments applied?

You'll need to enable the invoice account summary on the template to show the Total Amount Due field.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Below Your Company, select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Search for the invoice template.
  4. Below the Action column, click Edit.
  5. Go to the Content tab.
  6. Go to the data table section (middle section).
  7. Below Account summary, put a check mark on the box beside Show on invoice.
