I'm glad to see you in the Community, gdgray.

I can see you're facing difficulties setting up discounts on new payment terms. Allow me to shed some light on adding terms to transactions.

The option to include a discount when creating a payment term is currently unavailable. The integration of the discount item into the payment terms is a great enhancement to QuickBooks Online (QBO). This feature will surely help many users, allowing them to save valuable time in their business operations. Let's send this suggestion directly to our developers for consideration in upcoming releases.

Here's how:

  1. Tap the Gear icon in the upper right and choose Feedback under Profile.
  2. This will open a window where you can enter your suggestions.
  3. Make sure to key in your feedback in the field box.
  4. Click Next to submit it.

You can freely browse the QuickBooks Blog to discover the resources you require to begin, manage, and expand your business confidently. From there, you'll stay updated with the newest product updates, including the advancements and improvements introduced by our developers.
