How does one disable the Tags feature? While tags can be great in some circumstances, for us they are an annoyance and only serve to needlessly clutter the UI!!!

The Tag feature is a new plugin in QuickBooks Online (QBO) that allows you to label your expense and income transactions. They don't impact your books, instead, they're a way for your team to track the info that matters most to you. This way, you'll be able to track how specific areas of your business are doing. If you don't want to use this feature, we can turn it off so it won't show on the transaction page. Let me show you how:

1. Go to the Gear icon on the top menu.6589999
2. Under the Your Company section, choose QuickBooks Labs.
3. Find the Tags feature and click the Switch/Toggle icon to turn it off. 
4. Rap Yes to leave feedback or No to skip the message.

As mentioned in the original question, the Labs feature is already disabled.  However, QBO has recently started showing Tags regardless of not having it enabled.  Very uncool.

How do we override this and disable the Tags feature???

I also want less clutter on the user interface whenever I'm using a software. Likewise, I do want complete control over which update or feature that I'll be using. That said, I do have some details regarding the Tags feature. 

For users who had the Tags enabled, they are currently unable to remove the feature (despite being turned off from the Labs page). This was a reported issue back in December. I checked our system and I can see that our engineers are now working to add an option to completely disable it from the Account and settings page (instead of the Labs). 

For now, you'll want to disregard the feature and continue creating your transactions. I also suggest checking our QuickBooks Blog from time to time for the update about this.

I'm trying to do this, but when I go to QuickBooks Labs there are only 2 things showing & nothing about tags to turn off!! See attached to see what is in my QuickBooks Labs. I want to turn tags off PLEASE!

Sadly, they have made it so you can't turn it off or disable it.  We're all stuck with it.
