As mentioned by Shalene, you can edit the name of the customer or make it inactive. The option to delete the customer is unavailable in QuickBooks Online at this time. Below I've included the steps to edit the customer's name.
1. Open the Sales menu and choose Customers.
2. Click on your customer's name that is misspelled.
3. Select Edit in the top right corner.
4. Correct the name.
5. Hit Save once you're finished.
