Hi sathinepal,
You've got me here, and I'll help you run a report to show Income and Expense with Custom date.
We have another report that we can customise to show only Income and Expense accounts for a Custom date aside from General Ledger. It's called the Transaction Detail by Account report.
Here's how you can open and customise the report:
If you want individual reports for each account, you can run an Account QuickReport:
If you're referring to a different report, just
hit reply and let me know a bit more what you need.

Do not use the general ledger
in reports, enter profit in the search box and choose the P&L report you want, then set the date range
What if I needed that report from the general ledger because of an audit? Could you explain how to get that report?
Thanks for joining this thread, IonLit.
You can still run the Transaction Detail by Account report, then add the debit and credit columns. This report lists all the transactions and total for each account in your chart of accounts.
I'll show you how to run it.
I'd also recommend reaching out to your accountant for the best advice on what report should you use for the audit.
Here's an article about customizing a report for future references: How to customize reports.
