Re: how to modify customer statements

Hey there, JacobvdW.

Thank you for reaching out here for support. I'd be glad to offer some insight regarding modifying customer statements.

I can see how it would be useful to have the ability to change the alignment of your customer's statement. As Rustler mentioned, the statement can't be modified at this time. I'll make sure to pass your idea along to the appropriate channel. Doing so will notify the Product Development team, letting them know you'd like to be able to calibrate the statement  to the right.

In the meantime, I've got an article for you that offers some pointers on creating and managing statements in QBO: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Income-and-expenses/Create-and-manage-statements/m-p/186219.

I wish you the best of luck with your business. Please know the Community always has your back if you have any other questions.

Re: how to modify customer statements

Will the ability to customize statements be added soon?  It's embarassing to mail a statement that looks as unprofessional as the quickbooks standard statement.  We print forms as our business so this could be a deal breaker for us.  Please, please, please!

Re: how to modify customer statements

I'm new to QB Online and it's frustrating that I can not customize the Statement form. (Also, even the ability to customize Invoices is very poor and limited!!!!!)

Hi TSturdy,

This isn't something that we work on at the moment, but I'll share this idea to our product engineers to be considered in future updates.

If you have other questions, you can always visit us back here. Have a nice day ahead!

Re: how to modify customer statements

Is there anyway to upload our own statement template instead of using the generic one?.

Kind regards

Re: how to modify customer statements

Hi Bindi_8,

Thanks for sharing your idea. Importing or uploading a statement template is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Know that our product developers are continuously working to improve our product's feature to meet your needs and run your business more efficiently. We’ve made a number of enhancements to QBO in the past few months, so I suggest checking back to our websites for more updates and announcements.

Here's the link for your reference: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/news/.

I'll also update you in this thread once this feature becomes available.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'll do everything I can to answer them. Have a great day.

This was originally posted 226 days.

This was a known BUG months before that.

This should be easy to fix if Intuit really wants to do it.

Maybe they don't want to do it simply because they can't call this fix product innovation and excuse to raise the price again. Just my guess!

Re: how to modify customer statements

Modifying a statement is a pretty basic requirement. I have several client who want to change the information displayed on the statement. One of my clients has decided not to migrate to QBO because of this issue. Specifically, the inability to remove the inclusion of "due date" beside the line items description is particularly frustrating. Invoices and statements formats create an impression with the customer. QBO is lagging behind competitors on this.

Checking online there are queries on this issue over 5 years old. Standard answer from QB is they a not working on it but will pass it on the the Engineers! Maybe they are not picking up!
