How to set-up account to get security codes only to email?

Hello, I have moved to Spain. I tried to change my phone from the US to the one I have in Spain. The system does not allow phones from my country. In order to enter into my account, the system sends me a code to the US phone, which I have now active, but soon it will not be available. I have been chatting several times, but nobody helped me with this. How can I get the code only through email? Thanks for any help!

How to set-up account to get security codes only to email?

Hi there, @useriguiva

Thanks for asking us here in the Community. QuickBooks uses two-step verification as a security setting to confirm your identity when logging in to your account using your password and a unique code.

We can turn this off so you'll have the option to select the email in receiving the verification code.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to the Intuit Online Account management portal.
  2. Go to the Sign In & Security section, then select the Two-step verification
  3. Click the Edit icon to expand the page.
  4. Below the Enable verification part, click the Turn Off button.
  5. Enter the verification code sent to your phone number.

Here's an article for more guidance on disabling the two-step verification: Turn on or turn off two-step verification.

I'm always here if you need further assistance in turning off this option by leaving a comment below. Have a wonderful day!
