How we can retuern items they call it RTV

I'll share with you the two options to return the items to your vendor in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Cityconect

If you got credit from your vendor's Return To Vendor (RTV) process, you'll have to create a vendor credit. Then, apply it to your bill. This is to ensure the credit hits the expense account you use for them.

To enter a vendor credit:

  1. Go to + New from the left menu.
  2. Select Vendor credit under Vendors
  3. Choose a vendor in the Vendor drop-down.
  4. Go to the Item details section.
  5. Enter the items and their amounts that you want to return to your vendor.
  6. Hit Save and close.

The screenshot below shows you the steps.

To apply the credit to an open or future bill:

  1. Go to + New from the left menu.
  2. Select Pay bills under Vendors.
  3. Choose a bill from the list.
  4. You'll see the available credit with this vendor in the Credit Applied field.
  5. Click Save and close

For detailed instructions, go through this article: Enter A Credit From A Vendor

If you got a refund from your vendor's RTV process, you'll have to enter a vendor credit by performing the first batch of steps above. Then, deposit the money you got from the refund. After that, link the bank deposit to the credit by going to the Pay Bills page. To learn more about this process, check out this article: Enter Vendor Refund

As always, you can go to the Transaction List tab from the Vendors page. From there, you can view, edit, print, copy, and delete vendor transactions. Just click the drop-down menu from the Actions column as seen in the screenshot below. For more information, visit this article: Vendors Overview

I'll be right here to help if you need further assistance. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, @Cityconect
