I accidently deleted a series of receipts and an expense from the same day. I found them in the audit as deleted. How can I restore them and get the receipts back?

Thanks for visiting the Community, @adamr1. I appreciate your resourcefulness of finding the deleted transactions in the Audit Log. 

 

In QuickBooks, deleted transaction can no longer be restored. Good thing that you've found those item in the audit log as you can use it to re-enter them.

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. While you're on the deleted transaction, click View under the History column. 
  2. You can find all the needed information for the transaction under the Event column.
  3. Using that information, re-enter the transaction with its original transaction date.

 

For future reference, consider voiding a transaction rather than deleting it completely from your records.
