I am not able to access Quickbooks contributed reports. I am getting following error as seen in attached screenshot. Can anyone please help me with this.
Thanks.
I can help you fix this error, Ali Javaid.
The contributed report you're trying to open is probably corrupted, and that's why you're getting an error. We can try to repair the installation of your QuickBooks. This process is known to resolve the damaged files and components within the software.
Please take note that the version you're using is already discontinued. With that being said, the steps may or may not work.
Here's an article to run the repair: Fix QuickBooks Desktop (Windows). If you encounter an error during the process, you can proceed to the Repair Errors section and follow the steps to fix it.
Don't hesitate to get back to me if there's anything else you need. I'll be here to assist you further.
Please Learn from this input. You would want to read about Intuit's Discontinuation Policy.
QB 2015 for US reached end of life in May 2018. That means Lost Support, no updates, lost Connectivity to outside resources, lacks connectivity security, won't send email or do online tasks. Intuit has a 3-year lifecycle for the QB Desktop program. Further, your data file is now 4 years behind current. It's time to move to QB 2019.
Thanks so much for replying. I am facing same issue on two PC's, one with fresh install, so I do not think its a bad installation or corrupt files. But as you mentioned in your second update it might be the discontinuation of QuickBooks 2015. I am not looking to upgrade to a new version as that would be very expensive. Is there any way I can get these reports back as they aren't made by intuit rather they are "contributed" by other users. I would appreciate a solution.
Thanks,
Ali Javaid
Hello there, Ali Javaid.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. Allow me to step in and share additional information about using QuickBooks Desktop 2015.
Once you use unsupported versions of QuickBooks Desktop, you'll no longer be able to access add-on services including Contributed reports. Obtaining these reports involves downloading data for you to view them.
However, you still can access reports like Standard, Memorized, Favorites and Recent reports from the Report Center window. For more information about the disco, I'm adding the article I recommend down below:
QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation (Disco) policy and upgrade information.
If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to post your response. I'll be around to assist you.
We, the end useres, do not get to Make This choice: "I am not looking to upgrade to a new version as that would be very expensive"
Microsoft changes Windows. Intuit has to try to stay compatible with their programs. You know that things reach end of life; Windows XP is no longer supported. You got 4 years out of a 3-year program.
Don't keep the data at risk of falling further and further behind, as well.
