I am putting in mileage from last year, and it’s not allowing me to do round trip. How do I do that? Or is it necessary? Or do I do it separate?

We'll have to record the miles separately, amandameng80.

In QuickBooks, we'll have to enter the distance for the starting point. Then, another one for the endpoint. However, the program will still calculate the total vehicle deduction.

I'll show you how:

  1. Click the Mileage tab.
  2. Enter the Trip date and time.
  3. Enter the Distance for the starting point.
  4. Categorize it as Business or Personal.
  5. Enter the Business purpose.
  6. Add a vehicle.
  7. Click Save.

Afterward, do the same steps for the ending point.

In case you'll be recording multiple vehicles, you can check these articles:

I'm just around if there's anything else that I can help. Stay safe!
