I am running a resale business. How would I categorize a transaction in quickbooks when I purchase an item I intend on reselling?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Let me help you sort this out. You can categorize it as an income in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Let me show you how: 

1. Click the Transactions.  
2. Tap Add transaction. 
3. Under transaction Enter a description, then choose a type either Business or Personal. 
4. From the Category and tags, tap Select a category. Then choose Income. 
5. Press Save once done.
