I am trying to record a check received as payment on an existing invoice. I am getting this error message: This transaction didn’t go through...problem...our systems.

Error message says:This transaction didn’t go through
The charge was declined because of a problem with one of our systems.
If the problem persists, please contact us.

How do I get this payment recorded?

We haven't received any similar issues reported. When a browser stored a lot of caches, it could cause problems like bringing up the data to your account or latency issue.

 

As an initial step, you can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page. If you're still getting the same result, let's try to clear the browser's cache. This is to improve performance by reducing data processing and fetching. With a sizable amount of cache stored, the speed and performance of the system.

 

You can press CTRL+Shift and Delete key on your keyboard all together or you can follow the steps in this article: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files?

 

 

After that, you can try to record the check again. Another way to record the payment is through the Receive payment screen.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click + New and choose to Receive payment.
  2. Choose the Customer and select the existing Invoice.
  3. Ensure that the Amount is correct.
  4. Hit Save and close.

I'm having the same issue, I've cleared the cache and even tried with a different browser and the problem persists.

This is something I do regularly many times every month.

I am getting the same problem. I have tried 6 times. Changed the date and tried again and tried going in from different processes. Still same problem

 

Any resolution?

I just got it to work and receive my payment. I unchecked the box for "I am authorized..."

 

Does not make sense but it worked!
