The Audit Log lets you view all the changes made in your company file. To check if someone really made any changes to your account, follow the steps below.
If someone did some changes a while ago, you can ask them to log out for a moment while you're trying to save the changes that you made.
However, if you didn't find any trace in the Audit log, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue.
There are times that your browser is full of frequently-accessed page resources that cause QuickBooks Online (QBO) to act unusual behavior.
You can log in to your QBO account using a private browser to rule cache-related issues.

If it works, clear your browser's cache to speed up the loading process of the QBO website and for the system to start fresh.
You can also try switching to a different browser. Once done, you can go ahead and try enabling account numbers.
