I can't save an invoice- is this more likely to be a quickbooks glitch or an issue with my computer connection?

I was able to create an invoice in my sample file, codaconstruction.

 

There are times that cases like this can be resolved by running some troubleshooting steps. Let me guide you with the steps below:

 

First, let's create an invoice on a private window. This type of window doesn't store any historical searches. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to open this window:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

Second, if it works, you can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. This issue might have been caused by too much data saved on your browser, causing the program to not work properly.

 

Lastly, you'll have the option to switch to a different supported browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari. There is an instance that the browser we're currently using is having page maintenance.

 

Afterward, let's check to see if you can now create an invoice.

I created an invoice in January but didn't send it. Now I need to make some edits before sending but I can't save the changes. I've tried different computers, same issue. When I click "save" or "save and close" nothing happens and when I refresh the window the invoice reverts to the previous version.

  1. Click Help in the upper-right corner and select Contact Us.
  2. Enter the details of your concern and click Let's talk.
  3. Select how you want to reach out to them (phone or chat).
  4. Enter the necessary information to complete your request.
