I checked the mark to receive an email when I emailed invoices to my customer. I have not received an email for the last 6 invoices I sent. I am not sure that they are being sent out because I am not receiving any

Hi there, @k_bauer-live-com.

 

I want to make sure that you're able to receive a copy of the invoice in QuickBooks Self-Employed. 

 

First, let's check the email status to verify if the invoice was sent to the perspective emails. Let me guide you how: 

 

  1. Click the Invoices tab located on the left side. 
  2. Find the customer's name. 
  3. Review the sent date under the Status column. 

 

Once confirmed that it's already sent, but you didn't receive it yet, I'd suggest re-send the email. Please make sure that you've put an email to the carbon copy (CC) box.

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Invoices page, locate the customer's name. 
  2. Click the drop-down arrow and choose Send
  3. Hit the CC/BCC link. 
  4. Enter your personal email into the CC box. 
  5. Tap Send

 

After that, access your email to check if you already received it. 

 

If there's no progress, let's check these following to get rid of the problem: 

  • Check the spam folder. 
  • You are using a custom email domain or using Outlook, Exchange, AOL, Thunderbird, etc., which results in your email taking longer than web emails.
  • Your internet service or domain provider block their email address.

 

To unblock the email address in the windows, please go to Tools. Then choose Junk E-mail Options and hit the Remove button. 

 

Once done and the issue persists, let's proceed to other troubleshooting. Please access your account via incognito. This browser won't save any cache or history. 

 

You can use these shortcut keys below: 

 

  • Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  • Control Option (Safari)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Microsoft Edge)

 

From there, re-send the invoice and re-check the email to verify if it's already functioning well. If that works, go back to your usual browser, and initiate clear the cache. Doing in other supported browsers is a great choice too.

I have tried everything you posted, thank you for the reply. I still am not receiving anything with my email address in the "send to", cc, and bcc. I have checked to make sure I didn't accidentally block the Quickbooks address, everything looks as it should and still no email. I use Outlook.

I do appreciate your time and effort in performing the troubleshooting steps or provided by my colleague. I'd suggest reaching out to our Phone Support Team so they look into the root cause why you're unable to receive emailed invoices. 

 

Here's how to contact us:

 

  1. Click the Help icon.
  2. Hit the Contact Us button at the bottom. 
  3. Enter a brief description about unable to receive emailed invoices, then click Let's talk.
  4. Select Get a callback.

If you have the new Contact us feature, you can follow these steps:  

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right hand corner.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it. Click Contact Us.
  4. Select between Send a messageSchedule an appointment, or Get a callback.
