Good Afternoon, @asprose.

I certainly don't want you to feel misled. I'm going to provide you with the most accurate information about your customer's list.

At this time, the option to filter out by customer type on the customer's list isn't available. To make sure that your concerns are addressed, I'm going to personally submit feedback to our Product Developers so they can consider this feature in one of the upcoming updates for QuickBooks.

You can also check out our tutorials page that could help you navigate through your customer's list.

I'll be more than happy to help if you have any other questions. I hope my reply finds you with a smile. Have a fantastic day.

Yes, you can filter the customer list to a specific customer type, Asprose.

I'll guide you how:

  1. Click Sales, then go to the Customers tab.
  2. Tick the Select all box to highlight all customers.
  3. Click Batch actions, then click Select Customer Type.
  4. Select the specific customer type, then click Apply.

Once done, all customers under that particular type will show. You can already create statements. Here's how:

  1. Tick the Select all box on the Customers page.
  2. Click Batch actions, then select Create statements.
  3. Select the Statement Type and Statement Date.
  4. Enter the Start Date and End Date.
  5. If you want to send it to your customers, click Save and send. If you want to print it, click Print or Preview

Let me share the reference on how to create and view customer statements for more information.

If you need further help with generating these statements, please don't hesitate to get back to us.

That did not work at all. What it did instead was change all of my customers to be the same customer type. Now I have to go back and change them all to be the appropriate customer type manually. I should not have been so quick to believe that this would filter out the customers I wanted. Have any other suggestions?

I do not believe there is currently a way to filter by customer type on the Customers page. The previous answer is NOT a solution and it instead incorrectly modifies the customer type.

Customer Type does not seem to be widely supported in QBO and I hope that additional features are added to help those of us who use it.

Thanks very much for submitting this feature request.  It's not a solution but I'll close the question.
