I have a cleaning business that does some jobs weekly, biweekly, monthly and so forth. I add all of these jobs to one invoice per costumer, and invoice quarterly. I need to know my income based on specific months, and I can only seem to get a report telling me income based on the invoice date, not the job date when completed. Is there anyway to report sales by month completed and not invoiced? Thanks!
Reports are transaction-based and look into the dates when it was recorded. To get the monthly data, you can record the transaction on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis. Ensure that the accounting method is also set to Accrual basis to see the possible income for the month.
