I had to "delete" a reconciliation for a credit card account. Now it won't let me go in and upload a previous bank statement (in order to correct my mistake). Suggestions?

Below are the troubleshooting steps you can perform to upload your bank statement smoothly, Kwbark.

To start, could you please specify the error you encountered while trying to upload your bank statement?

For now, please access your QBO account in incognito mode. This mode prevents the storage of cache files that can interfere with web-based applications. Doing so will help determine if the issue is related to the browser. Here are the shortcut keys for various browsers:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

Then, upload your bank statement again to see  if that resolves the issue.  If successful, clear the cache of your regular browser to eliminate piled-up data. If the issue persists, consider using another supported browser or device, as the current one might be experiencing temporary compatibility issues with the program.

Once you've successfully uploaded your bank statement in QuickBooks, remember to review and categorize each transaction after downloading them to classify into predefined categories and ensure they're correctly recorded on your Schedule C.
