@valleyclock  You wait until QuickBooks is good and ready to admit they screwed the pooch, basically.

There have been threads about this for around a month now, and they still won't own up to it.

I totally see how inconvenient it can be to enter a code when logging in to your account, valleyclock. Allow me to share some details about the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requirements in QuickBooks Online.

First, I want to emphasize that data security is of the utmost importance to us. This is why we have implemented these additional security measures to help protect your sensitive financial information.

Second, the system will only ask for a code if you access your account from an unrecognized device. This is a standard security practice to verify your identity and ensure the safety of your data. However, certain external elements, like ad blockers, can also trigger the MFA process, even when logging in from a trusted device.

Since the other user is logging in from a trusted device, you can either add the *.intuit.com domain to your ad blocker's allow list, or disable your ad blocker specifically for the *.intuit.com domain.

For more information about login security and MFA, you can refer to this article: Secure Your Intuit Account And Prevent Lockout With Extra Verification Methods.

Aside from that, I'd also recommend reaching out to our phone or chat support teams. They'll take a closer look at your account or initiate an investigation to resolve this matter effectively. Here's how you can reach out to them:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner of QBO.
  2. Proceed to the Assistant tab.
  3. Type in "contact support" in the chat box and press Enter.
  4. Select QuickBooks Online Support, then click Contact Us at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Click Ask about something else, then enter a short description of your concern.
  6. Choose between Chat or Have us call you.

Let me also share these articles in case you might need some additional references when managing login details:
