I have anew client who uses QB desktop. I want to copy her records to my QB online account. How do I do this?

Due to the differences between the QuickBooks Desktop and Online products, there isn't a way to directly copy the records from your client's account to yours. However, there are other options to consider:
The other direction you could take would be to begin using the Desktop program yourself, and then access your client's account with the accountant's copy of the company file. The following linked article provides additional details about using an Accountant's Copy working file.
With this info, you'll be able to easily view your client's QuickBooks data and help them manage their books. Please know I'm only a comment or post away if you have any other questions.
