I have multiple companies using QB online. Is there a way to receive a QB invoice from one company and have that automatically become a bill - with all line-items too

While there isn't an option to automatically convert the QB invoice to a bill, you need to set up a recurring bill. This is to record your expenses that happen every month.

The following steps outlined below will guide you through creating a recurring bill:

1. Create a new bill or open an existing one.
2. Fill in the data that you want to include on a recurring basis such as vendor, account or item details, description, amount, etc.
3. At the bottom of the bill, select Make recurring. 
4. Enter a template name.
5. From the Type drop-down, select:
       a. Scheduled
   
       b. Reminder
       c. Unscheduled.
6. On the Create _ days in advance field, enter the number of days you want the bill to be created in advance.
7. If you select Reminder from Type drop-down, how many days before the transaction date you want to be reminded.
8. Specify the Interval and Start date of the recurring transaction.
9. From the End drop-down, specify if you want it to end the entry after a number of occurrences, by a set end date, or to not end recurring.
10. Click Save template.

When your payment is downloaded on your Banking page, you can then match the bill. Check out the Add and match downloaded banking transactions article to learn more about matching your entries. QuickBooks knows the record from your bank is the same one you already entered and won’t create a duplicate.
