I have not been able to upload PDF receipts for over a week. Is anyone else having this problem?

We haven't received any ongoing issue similar to this one, niko-ferg-gmail-.

Thanks for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community. Allow me to provide some information about uploading PDF receipts in QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE).

To start with, may I know if you received an error message while uploading your (i.e., expense) receipts? Please get back to me with more details about this matter for me to narrow this down.

For now, let's isolate this matter by logging in first to your QBSE account using a web browser (i.e., Google Chrome). Then, upload your receipts through the Transactions menu. This way, we're able to identify if the cause of the issue has something to do with the stored and corrupted data in the app.

If you're able to do so, let's go back to your QBSE mobile app and reset its data to refresh the system. This eliminates the unnecessary files that cause the app to crash or shows unusual behavior. Here's how to do this from your phone settings:

  1. Go to your phone Settings.
  2. Tap Apps and Notifications.
  3. Look for the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.
  4. Click Reset App Data.

If the issue continues, I'd recommend contacting our Self-employed Support team. They have all the necessary tools to perform further investigation and guide you with a fix.

Once receipts are uploaded, you'll have to categorize them accordingly. This organizes your income and expenses and keeps your account updated. Then, QuickBooks puts them on the correct line of your Schedule C. You can learn more about Schedule C categories and how they appear on reports by checking out this article: Schedule C and expense categories in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know in the comments if you have other concerns about uploading receipts in QBSE. I'm always around to help. Take care and stay safe!
