I have one customer that is being charged the wrong tax rate. I have checked under customer details and everything seems correct.

State and county taxes are being charged, but not city.

I have one customer that is being charged the wrong tax rate. I have checked under customer details and everything seems correct.

Let's correct the sales tax rate to every location you create a sale, @SandyBush.

 

The Automated Sales Tax feature determines the rates based on the customer's billing and shipping address on the sales form.

 

When the calculation of taxes does not coincide with the actual rate because of additional local and county taxes, you can override the sales tax rate. This option gives you flexibility with sales tax processing.

 

To do that, you can click the See the math or Sales tax link below the tax amount and then choose the Override this amount hyperlink on the pop up window. See this:

 

Well done! In case you wanted to add the city rate than overriding the tax rate, click the Based on location drop-down to change by selecting Add rate. It will help you include the custom rate.
