I have recently added my mother as a dependent on my taxes since she has stopped working. Will that change my estimated tax payments, and how do I change that?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Let me share some insight about the parent as a dependent in QuickBooks Self-Employed. 

 

As with anything tax-related, you will have to meet a few requirements. Once the requirements are satisfied, you’ll be able to receive an additional tax break for your efforts, designed to help offset the costs associated with the parent. 

 

I suggest you might want to hire a tax person and an accounting person with your taxation payment. However, if you're subscribe to the Self-Employed Live Tax Bundle, the option to talk to real CPAs is included in the subscription.
