"I have set-up and another account in my chart of accounts to help w/ a new tracking but when I go to put the sale / giving in under sales receipt it does not show up."
Did you create just a new Chart of Accounts or also created new Product/Service Item mapped to a new account from the Chart of Account?
You also need to create a new Product/Service Item from the Products and Service page (Dashboard > Sales > Products and Service > Select NEW > Select Type) and under Income Account field, choose the new account you created in your Chart of Accounts. Now when you create a Sales Receipt using this new Item Code, it will track sales to a new revenue account.
