POS 12.0 Pro. On Hand and On Order Columns are correct. Available quantity is off. Even after Sales Orders & Layaways are deleted it still shows negative quantity.

Took me a while to determine this but all the items that we have had sales orders for in the past, the available quantity shows in the negative.  Sales orders have been deleted.  Tried to clean up company data file and that didn't help.  I've just noticed this in the past week or two.  Might have occurred when I installed R15.  Has anyone else seen this issue?

Allow me to share some information about the available quantity in QuickBooks Point of Sale.

We currently have ongoing issues with the calculation of the available quantity in the system. As a workaround, you can fix the issue by creating and merging a new item to the existing one.

Here's how:

  1. From your Items List, select one of the items you wish to merge.
  2. From the QuickBooks POS I Want To menu, select Merge.
  3. In the Merge Items windows, the item to be kept is shown on the left and the item to be removed is on the right. Review the items to ensure they are correct.
  4. Select Swap to reverse positions of the items
  5. Use the drop-down list and normal item find procedures to add the second item or change items if necessary.
  6. Select Merge Items.
  7. A confirmation dialog is displayed in QuickBooks POS when the merge process is complete.

I have this issue also and do not see an answer in sight...

I have this issue also and do not see an answer in sight does anyone know when this will be fixed - I could loose sales because available qty is connected to my online sales and if it is wrong it shows I have the incorrect available sometimes -0- when I actually have the item to sell!

This is incredibly frustrating.   I was forced to upgrade and the new version is terrible.  I think we deserve a refund.  Available quantity is pretty important to retail.

I agree Lisa - I too upgraded and this is causing me many...

I agree Lisa - I too upgraded and this is causing me many issues for my online stores.  It appears we do not have available items when we do so it will not show up to sell so I am loosing money because of this.
