I incorrectly entered a company name in setting up a subscription for Intuit Quickbooks. How do I change my "billed to:" account details to match the correct name?

My QB bill to company name is incorrect and my QB company name is correct when I log into my account. How can I fix this?

I'll give steps where you can update the information.

 

You can update the account details by following these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin.
  2. Go to the Gear Account and settings.
  3. On the left panel, click the Billing & Subscription tab.
  4. Next to your payment method, select Edit.
  5. This will launch the Wallet list. From this view you can:
    • Edit the payment method used for QuickBooks Online billing (expiration date, billing address, account holder name)
    • Add a new payment to be used for QuickBooks Online billing
    • Switch QuickBooks Online billing to previously stored payment method
  6. After saving your changes, check the displayed name.

Thank you for your thorough response. Unfortunately, that only changes the company name within the online account, and that information is correct. It is the company name in the billing subscription that needs to be corrected. I haven't yet found a way to correct that information.

I'll help you change the name of your account, mmlindberg.

 

There's a different way of correcting the name of the business on our file. Although, we need a couple of documents to make sure that the person trying to change the information is the authorized user. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Download and complete the Business Name Change template.
  2. Prepare to upload the following supporting documents:
    • Current government-issued Photo ID (e.g., state-issued ID, driver's license, passport)
    • Proof of payment for the service or product: Bank statement showing the subscription payments, the account number, and your name.
  3. Contact us to submit the form, government-issued ID, and proof that you paid for the service or product through Intuit Customer File Exchange.
  4. You'll receive an email that confirms the update within 3-5 business days.
