Let me get the help you need in changing the Master Admin on your account.
To start, may I know the challenges you've encountered why you're unable to change? I want to ensure this gets resolved for you.
When changing the Master Admin access in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you'll have to ensure that the user is already added as a Company Admin. Here's how:
After that, have the user check their email to accept the invitation. Once done, you can now transfer the Master Admin rights by following the steps below:
I recommend the following article for additional information on this process, such as the basics of transferring this role: Change the primary admin user in QuickBooks.
However, if the person who has the master admin account is no longer available, you'll have to send us a request. This way, someone from our support team will contact the previous master admin. For the detailed steps and information, feel free to check out this article: Request to be the master admin or primary contact.
Should you have any questions about transferring roles or anything else, let me know by commenting below. I'll be more than happy to answer it for you. Have a great day.
Had Intuit declined your request of Master Admin credential, you may have 2 options as a workaround to claim your data back as long as you are still able to login as Company Admin.
