I just switched to Self Employed QuickBooks and was absolutely SHOCKED at the fee for an invoice I sent out. on a $500 INVOICE I WAS CHARGED $14.75 that IS UNHEARD OF.

Allow me to provide you the details about the calculation for QuickBooks Payments fees. This will help us determine why did you get this amount for the service charge. 

 

QuickBooks Payments charges a fee each time you process a transaction. This also depends on how you processed each payment. 

 

If you're using a credit card to receive invoice payments from your customer, the service fee would be 2.9% + 25 ¢. Since the invoice is $500, you'll have to multiply it by 2.9 divided by 100, then add 25 ¢. Therefore, the total service charge is $14.75.

 

In addition, fees are subject to change. Always refer to the QuickBooks Payments website for the most up-to-date info.
